The RAF PTI Association Standard

The RAF PTIs Associations Standard was suggested and introduced by the late President Moe Chuwen.  Since the Standard was introduced it has been used on many occasions.  Roy Rigg proudly represents the Association and does a fabulous job, even his wife Margaret and their dog get involved, what a family!

I am still carrying 3 Standards without any deputies and I think coping quite well,  I put it down to the fact I was once an RAF PTI. Finally a BIG thank you to all our hard working Committee members for their help and information over the last many years.   Yours on Parade Roy Rigg STANDARD BEARER

COMMENTS:

Is it really 8 years (2004) since Maurice Chuwen decided we should have our own Standard? I think he would have been pleased to see we are making good use of it at the Repatriations, Funerals, and Fund raising.

On a personal note Maureen and I are still between us carrying 3 Standards, mostly together:-
Royal Marines Windsor Branch, Royal British Legion Hazlemere Bucks and proudly the Royal Air Force PTI standard.

It has once again been a busy year, 15 Funerals,14 Repatriations of our fellow service men and women paying the ultimate sacrifice. Since 2008 we have attended some 95 Repatriations and many Memorial Services.

Finally I would like to give a big vote of thanks to all the Committee members especially Denise Street Brown our Secretary, Geoff Diggle our Welfare Officer, and Andrea Shaw our Treasurer for their invaluable, prompt help and support over this last  year.

Yours on Parade
ROY RIGG

  1. Roy,

I believe we met at Sutton Wick on Saturday and tried to send you a photograph of the day via your SW Area Rep but it bounced back undelivered. I have completed some the details below so if you contact me on my email I will forward direct to you.

    Regards,

    Brian Flinn
